Trekking in Har Ki Doon

The Har - Ki - Doon trek is one of the most well-known treks in the Garhwal Himlayas. The valley of Har-ki-Doon is situated at the base of Fateh Parvat, at an elevation of 3556 mts. Har-Ki-Doon Valley is bounded by dense Pine forests of and offers view of glittering ton peaks. Swargarohini and Jaundar Glacier are in the south-east of Har-ki-dun. Towards the west you can see Bandar Punch peak. Given to its loveliness & moderate complexity level this is an ideal trek for knowledgeable as well as cut down.

Day 1: Rishikesh/Taluka (1900 m/6232 ft) Drive 7-8 hours during the night camp.
After breakfast force to Taluka by Toyota Quails, a small hamlet nestled in the laps of natural world via Mussoorie, Kempty falls, Purola and Mori. This is preliminary point of our trek. Overnight in tents/ tourist rest house. Meals and overnight camp.

Day 2: Taluka/Osla (2560 m / 8400 ft) Trek 6-7 hours overnight camp.
The day starts with the mild trail towards Osla. Today's trek is through good-looking forests of Chestnut, Walnut and Willows. A gradual climb brings us to the charming Osla village along the swift rivulet. On arrival set site for overnight stay. Meals and overnight camp.

Day 3: Osla/ Har Ki Dun (3566 m / 11700 ft) Trek 5-7 hours overnight camp.
Morning after breakfast trek to Har Ki Dun. Initially the trek goes past a number of fields of beans & rice and also some remote villages, where the life style is same as old, and the unhurt one. The dress worn by the people is traditional. The trail steadily ascend the side of the ridge across the river and then veers left to the Har Ki Dun valley. Dense forests at this part give way to the meadows that are scattered with flowers and flowering herbs. Meals and Overnight stay in tents.

Day 4: Har Ki Dun
The day is for rest/ adaptation /exploration. On this day everyone does his own thing. One can go on an investigative trek in the valley, capture some wonderful views on the camera, or just chill at the camp. Meals and overnight camp.

Day 5: Har Ki Dun/Debshu Bugyal Trek 4-5 hours overnight camp
Today we will trek 14 kms to reach Debshu Bughyal. It will take 4-5 hrs at free time pace as the trail is usually downhill. Meals and overnight in tents.

Day 6: Debshu Bugyal/Ruinsara Tal (3500 m/ 11480 ft) Trek 5-6 hours overnight camp
Today we start trekking early towards Ruinsara Tal. The Trek from Debsu Bughyal to Ruinsara Tal is through, terraced mountain fields, lush green lands and conifer forests from side to side extremely scenic landscape. The incline of the trek is moderate and one will be able to total the trek in 5 - 6 hrs on arrival at the lake set site. Meals and overnight in tents.

Day 7: Ruinsara Tal
The day is for rest / acclimatization / exploration. One can explore the environs around the lake. The place is full of photographer’s enjoyment. Meals and overnight stay in tents.

Day 8: Ruinsara Tal/Osla Trek 5 hours overnight camp
After breakfast start trekking back towards Osla (18 kms). This trek will take about 4-5 hours. Set up a camp by the Supin River. Meals and overnight stay in tents.

Day 9: Osla/Taluka (13 kms/3-4 hrs) – Haridwar (235 Kms, 7-8 hrs)
After early mealtime trek for about 3-4 hours to reach Taluka and from here force back to Rishikesh. Tour terminates upon influx at Haridwar.
