Tungnath means "Lord of the peaks". It is an earliest temple of Lord Shiva, visited by few pilgrims in summers. Situated at a high altitude (3,680 m) in the midst of forests, this place is mostly uncharted by travelers. This area is well-known for its rich flora-fauna and serene beauty. Today, this primeval temple bounded by peaks like Nanda Devi, Kedarnath and Neelkanth is careful as the most significant of all Panch Kedars temples. Trekking in Tungnath. The temple multifaceted consists of two mare small temples devoted to divinity Parvati and Vyas. However, during winters the temple is congested due to snow and idol of Lord Shiva is shifted to Mukumath Village. This temple attracts tourists in large number particularly throughout the festival of Shivaratri.
Day 01: Haridwar - Chopta (190 kms/7-8 hrs)
Morning we drive to Chopta via Devprayag (Confluence of Alaknanda & Bhagirathi, from Devprayag the Holy river Ganges started), Rudraprayag (Confluence of Alaknanda & Mandakini River). Breakfast and lunch enrooted. Arrival at Chopta. Stay in Chopta hotel or tents.
Day 02: Chopta -Tungnath (3680mtr/12070 ft)
Chopta After an early breakfast trek to Tungnath with packed lunch. Tungnath is situated at the height of 3680 mts from the sea level. The highest shiva tample in world. The trek is 3.5 kms upward. Enrooted you will find lush green meadows and you can see the entire range of snow clapped Himalayas. Upon arrival at Tungnath Temple and visit the temple. Later trek back to Chopta for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 03: Chopta - Haridwar
After an early breakfast drive to Haridwar. Lunch enrooted. Upon arrival at Haridwar tour end & our services also end.
